GREEN ROOF
The Green Roof is a complex system composed by materials that work with each other in harmony and synergy. Adapting to flat roofs, GreenROOF rests on a filtering geotextile element and on draining components that come in contact with the Isodeck PVSteel panel.
Permeability, water retention, oxygen production, the fertility level, the guaranteed ability to dispose of excess water within a certain amount of time, are just some of the parameters to be considered when evaluating the quality of a rooftop green system and Green Roof meets all of them in accordance with the UNI 11235 standard.
The GreenROOF solution by Isopan and Daku adapts to any kind of project, especially those associated with the urban environment. A key aspect of both design and construction phases is waterproofing, since 50% of lawsuits in construction is related to ) infiltration problems. GreenROOF guarantees the best price for value in order to slow down flash floods and reduce heat islands.
How GreenRoof can transform your company rooftop
The thermal insulation ability that characterises GreenROOF makes it possible to save on energy producing costs, by lowering the temperature in summer months. The use of a rooftop green area to fight the flash flood problem is recognised as the most effective system since it retains up to 80%-90% of downfalls and releases 90% of excess water.
The GreenROOF solution is installed on Isodeck PVSteel panels by Isopan, used as a floor for flat roofs, for a greener, resistant and sustainable building, which increases thermal insulation and the capacity to accumulate water.
There are two types of green areas for your flat roof, providing an advantage to the architectural value of your building: Intensive GreenROOF, suitable for small and medium-sized surfaces, about 10 cm thick, which makes it possible to grow plants, garden vegetables and small trees; Extensive GreenROOF, recommended for large buildings, 15-25 cm thick, made of a grass covering that requires limited maintenance and creates excellent insulation.
Suitable for large buildings, sloping roofs and existing roofs due to their low substrate thickness (approx. 3 to 15 cm), with a maximum weight of 100 Kg/m²; the colonising vegetation is very resistant (mosses, grasses, succulents) and does not require frequent maintenance (watered only in case of prolonged drought). The height of the plants does not exceed 25 cm and the combination of several varieties gives these roofs a multi-coloured appearance that varies with the seasons. This type of roof cannot be walked on and cannot be cultivated.
Suitable for small and medium surfaces. The thickness of the substrate is greater (approx. 15 to 30 cm) and the overload weight is between 120 and 350 kg/m² (at maximum capacity in water). It allows the vegetation to have a strong root and aerial horticulture type such as grasses, turf, lively plants or shrubs. Moderate maintenance and regular watering are necessary. Comparable to traditional gardens, it is possible to sow or cultivate all types of vegetation.
